Service: ODTUG Board of Directors (#ODTUG) Voting 10/9 – 10/29

Greetings ODTUG Family:

I wanted to officially wait until October before putting this out.  A great thing happened at Oracle Open World 2013.  I was nominated for the Board of Directors of ODTUG.  This is a great chance to serve, and I am humbled yet excited about the opportunity, therefore I am asking for your vote.  While I don’t know all of them, I am honored to be in the company of the other nominees.

ODTUG has been good to me, and I feel that I can best say thank you by giving back.  I feel that my exposure across the various Oracle product offerings and the alignment they have with the ODTUG community puts me in a broad and relevant position. As the Oracle Technical Team Lead for the City of Atlanta, my team supports a number of Oracle technologies:

  • OBIEE
  • Hyperion Suite
  • Siebel
  • E-Business Suite
  • Oracle DB
But hey, there’s a personal side to everything as well.  I’m originally from North Carolina, but grew up in Georgia where I graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology.  I love to travel, and have had the opportunity to visit historical cities such as Prague and Vienna to teach Data Modeling and SQL Programming for the Oracle Academy.  I’m an adventurer and my bucket list is long.  I like skydiving,

but I LOVE scuba diving. I think +Kris Rice would like that.  Went on a wonderful 7 day excursion in the Exumas that was amazing.

You should eat as many of these guys as you can.   They are an invasive species in the Bahamas, and they taste GREAT!  So eat up.  Just make sure you are with someone that know how to prepare Lion fish.

Eu sou um Capoeirista e posso falar um pouco de português.

And when there is a grill, I can throw down.  I need to visit +ORACLENERD as he likes to grill out as well.

Hopefully that gives you a little peek at what I do.  Remember, voting begins on October 9th, 2013, and you must have been a paid member by September 30th, 2013 in order to vote.

Thanks for your time and hopefully, your vote!

-Danny Bryant
